Biography
I found CrossFit in 2009 when I was looking for something to keep myself interested in working out. I played rugby for several years since college and skied as often as possible during the winter but that wasn’t enough. A friend suggested trying CrossFit and after one month I realized I had found what I was looking for. The infinite variety and friendly community had me hooked.
The transition to coaching was natural. I started teaching math and coaching sports at Lowell High School in 2002. Coaching CrossFit for me is a combination of teaching the skills required to excel in the sport of CrossFit and sharing my own competitive spirit (in my unique and colorful way) with my classes. I love teaching members they are more capable than they ever thought.
Outside of work and the gym, I enjoy reading and spending time with my wife and two daughters.
